Travis Dean Meyer

Travis Dean Meyer, born on December 3, 1978, in Gillette, Wyoming, passed away on April 25, 2025, in Gillette, Wyoming. He was 46 years old. Travis was the son of Randall Meyer and Cynthia Ann Meyer. He grew up in Gillette and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1997. After high school, he went on to serve in the National Guard, proudly serving two tours in Iraq. In 2006, Travis married Jeanne Schlenker, and they shared many moments together until their divorce in 2016. Travis was a dedicated welder and worked at Greg's Welding and Spencer Fluid Power throughout his career. A lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, Travis was baptized on June 16, 1979, at Trinity Lutheran Church. His faith was a significant part of his life, shaping the values he held dear. Travis had many interests that brought him joy. He loved the great outdoors, enjoying activities such as hunting and fishing. Motorcycling was another passion, allowing him to experience the freedom of the open road. Travis is survived by his parents, Randy and Cindy Meyer; his children, Brady Dean Meyer and Gregory Dean Meyer; his sister Stacey Meyer; and his sister Alicia (Rodney) Johnson. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Travis is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Saunders; grandmother, Norma Newcomb; grandparents, James and Marion Meyer; and his cousin, Curtis Meyer. Travis's warmth, spirit, and love for life touched many, and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
