Tisha Beth Peterson (Short)

Tisha was born June 26, 1977 in Tucson, Arizona, to Teri Story and Perry Dunson. She was the prettiest grey eyed baby. “Also known as the girl with far away eyes.” Her bratty sister (Amber) came a few years later and was Tisha’s favorite person. She grew up in Tucson. Graduated at Pueblo High School. She was always a great student. She was so very intelligent. She had her first baby, Nicolas, and a couple of years later came Connor. She worked very hard and raised both boys pretty much alone. She was a fierce mom. Those are her cubs. She left Tucson and traveled to a number of different states while she raised the boys. She eventually settled in Gillette, Wyoming to be near her sister, her niece and two nephews.

She then met her now “Beeb;” her husband, Mark. They’ve made an amazing little life for themselves. She called him her “Saint Mark”. Tisha was an amazing artist and her love for painting was special. She spent so much time blaring good music and painting to her hearts content. She was an outstanding cook and always said she would make everything fat because feeding people was her love language. Pony, as I called her, was the purest of love. She will be greatly missed and cherished forever. Death is hard on the living. Tisha is safe and warm until we all meet again.

She is preceded in death by her mom, Teri Story and her papa, aka Gma.

She is survived by her children, Nick (Kimi) and Connor (Christian) Short; her husband, Mark Peterson; her sisters, Amber Dunson-Jones (Steph); her nephews, Zack (Nat) and Zaiden Carpenter; her niece, Zoey Carpenter; her fathers, Perry Dunson and Jack Follansbee; plus many more friends and family.

Services will be held June 1, 2025 at Prairie Sky Venue in Gillette, Wyoming. More information to come on Celebration of Life arrangements. Tye-dye clothes, sunflowers and good music
