Gillette

Memorial gathering for Timothy Runyon will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Timothy Runyon (Tim) passed away in the comfort of his home on November 22, 2024, after battling lung cancer to a draw. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Beverly Reno and Sheldon Runyon and raised in Morton, Illinois. He grew up in a large family with his sister Cathy, and his brothers Paul, Vic, Dan and Jon. As a kid, Tim spent much of his time outdoors with his brothers and friends.

In 1986 Tim moved to Gillette for work; he hired on to work with Hladky Construction in 1988 where he worked until the very end. A leader from the very beginning and a mentor to countless men. Nothing on a job was ever done to be just good, it had to be perfect, like Runyon’s hair. He was a man who never missed a day of work.

It was also in 1988 that he met Debra Golay and her two sons Jacob and Christopher Baughman. Tim and Debbie married on March 31, 1990. Together Tim and Debbie shared many good times, where they enjoyed vacations, becoming grandparents and just spending time with one another.

Tim is survived by his wife Debbie Runyon; son Christopher Baughman, son Jacob Baughman and wife Erika and granddaughter Aria. His sister Cathy and brothers Vic, Dan, and Jon. He is preceded in death by his parents Beverly and Sheldon Runyon and his brother Paul. Condolences may be sent in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences may also be expressed at www.gillettememorialchapel.com
