Funeral service for Shirley I. Schomer will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating; interment will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.

Our beloved Shirley Idell (Seymour) Schomer, resident of Gillette, WY passed away on July 28, 2018 at the age of 86 years old. She was born June 7, 1932 to Gladys and Ray Seymour in Dupree, SD. She grew up in South Dakota. She met and married the love of her life, Clifford Schomer on September 14, 1949 in South Dakota. She loved raising her children and spending time with her family and friends. However, her all-time favorite pass-time was dancing with her husband.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Robert (Carol) Schomer; Ed (Carla) Schomer; Candy (Carey) Eason; Butch (Deb) Schomer; Barb (John) Marquard; Denise (Lonnie) Anderson; Scott Schomer; and Robin Schomer; sisters, Lisa Mason and Donna Hannah; multiple nieces and nephews, several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Marsha Rae; granddaughter, Tammy Eason; grandsons, Christopher Eason and Erik Holmes; and her parents.
