Sharliene Overby

Sharliene Overby passed away at home, Saturday, November 15, 2025. She was surrounded by her family and passed quietly in her sleep. She had been under Hospice care for several weeks. Sharliene was born in Havre, Montana on May 21, 1943, to father, Donald and mother, Frances. She was one of two girls and four boys. She is survived by two brothers, Marty and Ronald and one sister, Sandy, as well as 3 sisters-in-law, Carol, Mary Jane and Dorene. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. She moved from Havre to Gillette when she married her husband, Clarence Overby in 1978, but Sharliene always missed her hometown. She especially loved cats and rescued many throughout her life. Bowling was a favorite activity until her health declined. All her life she was into a variety of crafts, making Mary Maxim sweaters, knitting, crocheting, diamond art, and much more. She will be missed by many and there will be an empty spot in our lives. Sharliene is at peace now and is in the arms of those who passed before her.

A viewing will be held on November 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Gillette Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with Hospice Chaplain Jack Weaver officiating.

All friends are invited to attend as she greatly valued her friends and family and rarely met a stranger. Please dress casually. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming.
