Scott Daniel Muller

Feb 21, 1961 — Jun 9, 2026

Gillette, Wyoming

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Scott Daniel Muller, who peacefully passed away at his home on June 9, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of the place he loved most. While our hearts are broken by his loss, we are grateful for the many memories, lessons, laughter, and love he shared throughout his life.

Scott was born on February 21, 1961, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Richard and Joyce Muller. Raised in the beautiful Wyoming landscape he cherished throughout his life, Scott developed a deep appreciation for hard work, family, and the outdoors from an early age. He graduated from Sheridan High School and went on to build a life defined by dedication, resilience, and a willingness to help others whenever they needed him. Throughout his life, Scott worked a variety of jobs, he moved to Gillette, Wyoming and he spent much of his career in the oilfield, where he earned the respect of coworkers and friends through his strong work ethic and dependable nature. No matter the task, Scott believed in doing things the right way and giving his best effort. He was never afraid of hard work and took pride in providing for his family.

Outside of work, Scott was happiest when he had something to fix or create. His garage was more than just a workspace—it was a place where he spent countless hours tinkering, repairing, and solving problems. He was an incredibly talented mechanic with a gift for understanding how things worked. Family, friends, and neighbors knew that if something was broken, Scott could probably fix it. More importantly, they knew he would gladly help without expecting anything in return. He was often the first person to offer a helping hand and the last person to seek recognition for it. Scott had a wonderful sense of humor and a personality that drew people in. He could tell a story like no one else, and whether you had heard it once or a dozen times, he always found a way to make you laugh. His stories, jokes, and warm smile could brighten even the hardest days. He had a rare ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and comfortable simply by being himself. The Wyoming mountains held a special place in Scott’s heart. He loved spending time outdoors, whether he was hiking mountain trails, casting a fishing line into a quiet stream, or simply enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the mountains with family, friends, and his loyal dog by his side. Those adventures created memories that will be treasured forever.

Above all else, Scott loved his family. He cherished every moment spent with those he loved and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed playing cribbage with his beloved wife, Lana, sharing laughs, conversations, and quiet moments together. Their bond was built on love, friendship and a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on.

Scott’s greatest accomplishment and proudest role in life was being a father. His daughter, Nicole, was the light of his life, and he took immense pride in guiding her, supporting her, and watching her grow into the person she became. He celebrated her successes, stood beside her through challenges, and loved her unconditionally. He was equally proud of his son, Brian, and treasured the relationship they shared. Nothing meant more to Scott than his family, and he worked every day to ensure they knew how deeply they were loved.

One of the qualities that made Scott so special was his kindness. He rarely had a negative thing to say about anyone and believed in treating people with respect and understanding. He saw the good in others and approached life with a generous spirit and an open heart. The impact he had on those around him cannot be measured, and the countless lives he touched are a testament to the man he was.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Lana Muller; his son, Brian Muller; his daughter, Nicole Muller (Levi Johnson); his mother Joyce Muller; his brothers, Kenny Muller (Alisa); and Neal Muller (Krystal); along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly. Though Scott is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. We will remember his hardworking spirit, his willingness to help others, his love of the mountains, his endless stories, and the joy he brought into our lives. He leaves behind a space that can never be filled, but also a lifetime of memories that can never be taken away. Rest peacefully, Scott. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed and forever remembered.
