Celebration of life for Rhonda Rossiter will be held Sunday, June 14, 2026 at American Legion starting at 12:00 p.m..

Rhonda Faye Rossiter, 72, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Rhonda was born on March 3, 1954, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Johnny and Birdie Lovette. She was raised in Fort Madison and graduated from high school in 1972. Following graduation, Rhonda worked alongside her mother at the Benner Tea Company until her mother's passing in 1976. She later worked for several years at the Sheaffer Pen Company.

In 1981, Rhonda met the love of her life, Jim Rossiter. Together they built a beautiful family and welcomed three daughters: Amanda Jo, born June 20, 1982; Jamie Marie, born April 19, 1985; and Jennifer Lynn, born June 7, 1987. In February 1988, the family relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rhonda and Jim were married that June.

Rhonda devoted the next several years to caring for children in her home daycare. Many of those children became part of her extended family and remained close to her throughout her life. In 2001, Jim and Rhonda moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where she spent the remainder of her years devoted to her family, embracing her cherished role as wife, mother, and Nana.

Rhonda's greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with children and making each one feel special. Whether related by blood or simply by love, countless children knew her affection and proudly called her "Nana."

Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, Jim Rossiter; daughters, Amanda (Jesse Rivera), Jamie (Courtney Flaharty), and Jennifer (Steve McKeen); grandchildren, Jaiden, Connor, Naythan, Kinan, Amiyah, Kaysen, Olyver, and Hunter; sisters, Margo (Roger) and Judy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, MacLynn; her parents, Johnny and Birdie Lovette; brother, Johnny Lovette; and sisters, Patty and Diane.

Memorials and condolences may be sent to Walker Funeral Home, 410 S. Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences may also be shared at walkerfuneralgillette.com
