Mass of Christian Burial for Peter Penrose will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Walker Funeral Home with Father Bryce Lungren officiating; interment following at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Peter Gerard Penrose, Jr. will be laid to rest at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery at 11 a.m., June 11, 2020.  Peter, age 80 of Gillette, Wyoming formerly of Butte, Montana died on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at home in Gillette. Peter was born on May 21, 1940 to Peter and Mary Penrose, Sr. in Dublin, Ireland.  Peter and his family immigrated to Rochester, NY in June 1959.  He returned to Dublin to marry the love of his life Nuala O’Reilly on January 9, 1960 at Saint Columbus Catholic Church, a unity that lasted 60 years until his passing.  He will be greatly missed by his wife and children. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Mary, sister, Ann and her husband, Lynn Mitchell; father and mother-in-law, Patrick and Angela O’Reilly; sister-in- law, Angela and her husband Tommy Byrne. Peter is survived by his wife Nuala of Gillette; and their children, Geraldine (Kevin) Boike of Waterloo, Iowa; Patricia Kolberg of Waterloo, Iowa; Brian (Patsy) Penrose of Gillette, WY; Gwendolyn (Elden) Grewell of Gillette, WY; Michael (Dana) Penrose of Butte, MT; Gerard (Terri) Penrose of Port Orchard, WA; Desmond (Mindy) Penrose of Munford, AL and Adrienne (Bill) Miller of Butte, MT.  Also, 26 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Marie (Gary) Angora and his brother Michael (Diane) Penrose, his sister-in-law Bonnie (Harold) Peacock and his brother-in-law Brian (Mercia) O’Reilly. The family would like to express great gratitude to Helene Oborski of Sharon’s Home Health Care of Moorcroft, WY for her extraordinary care at the end of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in Peter’s name to benefit a charity of your choice.
