Paul "Blue" Wayne Davis

February 2, 1985 — January 6, 2026

It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we must announce the passing of Paul Wayne Davis. Or as many knew him better as “Blue Davis.” Blue passed away on January 6, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana. Blue is survived by his two children, his son, Joshua Davis and his daughter Jayleigh Stuefen; father, Jerry and mother, Jacky Davis; brother, Brice Davis and two nieces Kaylee and Serenity Davis, all of which reside in Gillette, Wyoming. Along with other family members local and abroad and many, many friends.

Blue was a native of 40 years to Gillette, he was born at CCMH on February 2, 1985, he sadly died 27 days shy of his 41st birthday. Blue was the youngest child growing up and both he and his older brother attended Rozet Elementary school then Twin Spruce and finally CCHS which is where he would graduate from in 2003.

Blue began working at the Gillette Hardee’s at 16, then on to Big Piney as a chain hand on a drilling rig, which set him on his path for the remainder of his life in various jobs in the petroleum industry. He spent a decade as a consultant for several different oil companies. With his last employment as a pumper for EMEP.

Blue’s true passion was turning wrenches, and he was quite good at it establishing a reputation of high quality and a knack for troubleshooting problems. In 2019, he established his LLC “Blue Davis Services: operating out of his garage in his spare time. If Blue wasn’t working or turning wrenches, he was with his family or friends either camping or just hanging out taking care of his children and their family pets. Everyone who knew Blue knew that if you needed help, he was always happy to lend a hand.

Blue is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold W. and Jane Davis of Spokane, Washington, grandparents, Harold M. and Dawn L. Locken of Isabel, South Dakota, uncles, Steve M. Locken of Isabel and Terry Jones of Gillette, his cousin Marcey Locken of Isabel and his beloved dog, Cooper.

Please join us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 100 Rockpile Blvd, Gillette, Wyoming. We welcome you to join us to celebrate and honor the Life of Blue Davis.
