Orrin Abbott Pickett passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 97. Orrin was known as “Bo” to his siblings, friends, and family. Bo was born to Nelson “Shorty” and Opal (Sheldon) Pickett on April 12, 1929. During his early childhood, he was raised on the Otis Sheldon homestead, his grandfather’s, between Upton and Sundance. He was honorably discharged and returned to Maine, where he was employed driving a grader, clearing snow from Maine roads, and performing road work. After a while, Bo decided to move back to Upton, Wyoming, to be closer to his brother, Blaine Pickett. Bo was known for his truck-driving skills, transporting oil rigs through rough, tight spots, as well as for his mechanic skills. He worked for Young Trucking, KG Construction, and Arrow Gas. He also loved his coffee time with his buddies over the years.
