Norma Sue McManamen

Norma Sue McManamen age 94, of Gillette passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Norma was born in 1931 in Dewey, Oklahoma and moved to Gillette as a young child with her family. She grew up on Horse Creek north of Gillette and attended a country school before completing her junior and senior years at Campbell County High School.

Norma married Jim McManamen in 1949, they lived and worked on various ranches in the area before moving to Gillette in 1957. Together they ran the McManamen Electric until Jim’s death in 1984.

Norma moved to Arizona in 1992, where she enjoyed 25 years before returning to Gillette in 2017.

Norma is survived by all five children, Dave, Bob (Kelly), Kevin, Jan (Dave) Janey and Mike (Amy) McManamen. Seven grandchildren, Kate (Brent) Eischeid, Steve (Megan) McManamen, Matt (Stacy) McManamen, Gwen (Derek) Foellmer, Jason (Joesie) McManamen, Dani McManamen, Ryan McManamen and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers and her husband, Jim.
