Lois Ruedene Kyle

Celebration of Life for Ruedene and Lyle Kyle will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with  Pastor Marcia Meier officiating. Burial will follow in the Veterans' section of Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Military honors for Lyle provided by American Legion Post 42 Drill Team. The Celebration will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting this site. Lois Rudene Kyle, 100, of Gillette passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Campbell County Health. Lyle Chilton Kyle, 94, of Gillette passed away on April 12, 2021. Due to COVID restrictions the family was not allowed to celebrate Lyle's life publicly. The couple will be honored together and placed together at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Lois Ruedene Kyle, 100 years old, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2026 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Ruedene was born on May 25, 1926 in Platte County, Missouri to Harry Woodford Francis Roberts and Madge Irene Maget Roberts. She married the love of her life, Lyle Chilton Kyle on October 19, 1945 while he was serving in the Army Air Force. To this union four children were born, Ann Roundy of Grand Prairie; Texas, Kevin Kyle of Montgomery, Texas; Larry Kyle and Kurt Kyle of Gillette, Wyoming. She had 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Ruedene grew up in Missouri and moved to Colorado in 1958 where she raised four kids and supported Lyle in his career with the Colorado State Government. She was very active in Harvey Park Christian Church and helped to guide all four kids in their faith. She supported her family in every endeavor and dedicated herself to setting an example of leading a Godly life. In later years, after moving to Wyoming, she came to enjoy camping with her whole family. She always enjoyed gazing at the stars late at night. She was very proud of her family. Ruedene is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren, 25 great -randchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, one great-grandson, and the love of her life, Lyle – having been married for 75 years.
