Lisa Gail Farmer

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing of Lisa Farmer on August 9, 2026, at the age of 55. 

Lisa Gail Lane was born on May 3, 1971, in Lancaster, California, to the late Donna Lee Roberts and William Gary Lane. She was raised alongside her brother, Timothy “Timmy,” and her sister, Sarah, in a home surrounded by family and love. Her childhood was filled with cherished memories, including time spent with her beloved cousin Nancy, who would fondly insist that Lisa always had the “cooler” Barbies.

Around the age of 20, Lisa married Kent Thurman in Reno, Nevada. Together, they raised their two beloved sons, Bradley Trevor and Dalton Tyler. After spending eleven years in Nevada, Lisa’s journey brought her to Casper, Wyoming, before she ultimately made her home in Gillette.

In 2010, Lisa met Chad Farmer, and their lives became forever intertwined. She lovingly embraced Chad’s son, Chase, as her own, and the two were united in marriage on March 18, 2013.

Lisa devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was a loving wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and devoted dog owner. Above all, she found immense joy in making sure the people around her knew how deeply they were loved.

Lisa was, without question, a fighter. In late 2018, she suffered an ankle injury that would lead to years of physical therapy and multiple surgeries. Despite the challenges and pain she endured, Lisa persevered. She refused to allow her circumstances to define her or diminish the life she wanted to live. One of her greatest goals was to someday take all five of her grandchildren camping together.

On July 17, 2026, Lisa and Chad accomplished that dream. She was able to spend that special time camping with all five of her grandchildren….a cherished memory that her family will hold close to their hearts forever.

Lisa was a passionate, warm, generous, and kindhearted soul. She had an extraordinary ability to see the good in people and was always willing to give of herself to anyone in need. She loved deeply, gave freely, and never hesitated to offer a helping hand. Those fortunate enough to know Lisa will remember her for her compassion, her strength, her generosity, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.

Lisa leaves behind her beloved husband, Chad Farmer; her sons, Bradley “Trevor,” Dalton, and Chase; her brother, Timothy “Timmy”; her grandsons, Kacin, Colter, Luke, and Morgan; and her granddaughter, Charlie. She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family and the many friends whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Roberts, and her aunt, Mary Roberts. Her dogs, Annabell, Otto, Otis, and Sam.

Lisa’s family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating her life on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Prairie Sky Venue in Gillette, Wyoming. Dinner will be provided, including sandwiches, chips, salads, and drinks.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, Lisa’s memory will live on through the family she cherished, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely. Her strength, kindness, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always.
