Lillian Ann Wollman

Lillian Ann Wollman, 92-3/4, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1933, on the family farm near Grandin, North Dakota, the second of six daughters born to Carl and Amanda (Fisher) Peterson.

Lillian grew up on a dairy farm in North Dakota where a lifelong work ethic was established and later married the love of her life, Jimmy Wollman, in Mandan, North Dakota. Together they welcomed their son, Craig, who remained the pride and joy of their lives. In the early years of their marriage, Lillian and Jim followed road construction projects from North Dakota through Texas and eventually into Wyoming. They settled in Gillette in the late 1960s, where they built their home and spent the remainder of their lives.

Lillian dedicated many years of service to Campbell County School District as an administrative assistant, retiring in 1992. She was especially proud of her long association with Campco Federal Credit Union, where she faithfully served on the Board of Directors for more than 50 years. Her commitment and leadership helped guide the organization through decades of growth and change. Campco honored her service by naming the road in front of the new credit union "Lillian Lane".

A devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lillian's faith was an important part of her life. She was an active member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) and found great fellowship and purpose through the church's quilting group, where she helped create quilts that provided comfort and care to others. She loved tending her garden, creating beautiful quilts, baking for family and friends, and spending countless hours working on crafts that she proudly displayed and sold at local craft bazaars.

Lillian also enjoyed playing bingo and looked forward to trips with family and friends to Wendover, Nevada, and Deadwood, South Dakota, where she could try her luck and enjoy good company. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her welcoming home, and the many handmade treasures and baked treats she lovingly shared with family and friends.

More than anything, Lillian cherished her family. She took great pride in watching her son Craig compete in sports and later found immense joy in following the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charlie, and Rebecca. Whether attending games, performances, or other events, she was one of their biggest supporters. In recent years, she delighted in watching her great-grandchildren grow and become the next generation of her family's story. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and celebrating their milestones and successes.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Amanda Peterson; her beloved husband, Jim Wollman; her sisters, Phyllis Jalbert, Frankie Morlock and an infant sister Alice Margaret Peterson.

She is survived by her son, Craig (Suzanne) Wollman of Gillette, Wyoming; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (David) Hodge, Charlie (Shanele) Wilson, and Rebecca (Nolan) Thomas, all of Gillette, Wyoming; her treasured great-grandchildren, Lily, Allie, Nolan, and Audie; and her sisters, Shirley Peterson and Evelyn Peterson, both of Fargo, North Dakota.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming with burial to follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Lillian's life was defined by faith, hard work, service, and devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and countless cherished memories. Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
