In Loving Memory of Leroy Norton Sather Jr.
Leroy Norton Sather Jr. passed away surrounded by the love of the family he spent his life protecting, guiding, and cherishing. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of strength, faith, hard work, and unconditional love will live on in every life he touched.
Leroy was the pillar of his family—the steady hand everyone leaned on, the protector who never wavered, and the rock whose strength gave others courage. He was the kind of man who put his family before himself in every circumstance. Even in his final days, while fighting the greatest battle of his life, his focus remained on comforting those he loved. His selflessness, resilience, and unwavering devotion defined the man he was.
To his children, he was more than a father—he was their hero, their teacher, and their greatest example of what it means to live with integrity and love without limits. He taught them through quiet actions rather than words, showing them the value of hard work, loyalty, compassion, and perseverance. Each of them carries a part of him forward, and they will continue to honor his memory by living the lessons he so faithfully demonstrated.
Leroy’s greatest joy was his family. He was a proud Papa who treasured every moment with his grandchildren. His love for them was endless, and they will grow up hearing stories of the remarkable man who loved them fiercely and would have done anything for them. His influence will continue to shape generations to come.
He was known by many as a true cowboy at heart—strong, humble, dependable, and steadfast. He faced life’s hardships with quiet courage and met every challenge with determination. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, his willingness to help others, and the way he made everyone around him feel safe, supported, and loved.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Leroy is finally at peace. We imagine him riding off into the sunset, reunited with those who went before him, watching over the family he loved so deeply.
Leroy is survived by his children: Wyatt (Cali) Sather and their children, Riley, Quinn, and Sunny; Lucas (Kortni) Sather and their children, Paxton, Berkley, Emerie, and Everett; Madelyn (Troy) Fisk and their children, Koen and Attler; Jakob Sather; and Brock Sather. He is also survived by his sisters, Terri (Doug) Miller, Krisi Sather, and Amanda Nigo; his brother, Edward Sather; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and countless others whose lives were touched by his kindness, strength, and generosity.
His absence will be felt every day, but his legacy will never fade. He taught us how to love fiercely, work honestly, stand strong through adversity, and always show up for the people who matter most.
Ride free, Cowboy.
Until we meet again.
