Kelly Richard Holzer

Funeral services/Celebration of Life for Kelly R. Holzer will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2023 at St. Matthews Catholic Church.  Burial to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.  Kelly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 15, 2023.  He was born in Fargo, ND on August 11, 1959 to Ray and Alice (LaDuke) Holzer.  He moved with his family to Gillette in 1969, attending schools in the area, graduating from CCHS in 1977.  He worked in the Sales/Management field for the past 30⁺ years, recently retiring in January of this year.  Kelly’s hobbies included gardening and woodworking.  He loved working with old barnwood.  He made many picture frames, benches and other cherished  items for family members.  Kelly was involved in many bowling leagues and enjoyed a good round of golf in his later years.  He is survived by his sister, Renee (Keith) Coyle, brother, Mike (Joan) Holzer and sister, Kim (Tom) Klein, nieces, nephew and  many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alice, grandparents, Victor and Mary LaDuke and Martin and Margaret Holzer.  Kelly’s family would like to thank his health care providers, especially those at Campbell County Health, for the kind and compassionate care he received this past year.  Memorial and condolences may be sent in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel 210 West 5^th Street, Gillette, WY 82716.
