Kathleen Marie Helsper, a nurturing soul born on January 28, 1954, in Beach, North Dakota, departed this earthly realm on January 26, 2026, in Gillette, Wyoming, just days shy of her 72nd birthday. She was enveloped in the warmth and love of her family, whose presence illuminated her last moments. Kathleen, a devoted wife to Dale Helsper, cherished mother to Shaun and Justin, and stepmother to Bill and Mike, found her greatest joy in the embrace of her loved ones. Her legacy lives on through her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her kind-hearted spirit. A proud graduate of Campbell County High School, Kathleen pursued further education at Casper College, earning an associate degree that empowered her to embark on a fulfilling career. Over the years, Kathleen wore many hats, touching lives as a compassionate nurse while also serving at Stockman Bank. She extended her nurturing spirit beyond the medical field, running a home daycare that allowed her to share her love with countless children. Kathleen's entrepreneurial spirit was evident in her concessions business, where she was fondly known as the "Ice Cream Lady," bringing joy to many through sweet treats. Kathleen's deep sense of community found its home at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, a sanctuary where she connected with fellow worshippers, offering her kindness and support and also playing the piano. The essence of her character was defined by her caring nature and her unwavering commitment to her family. She believed wholeheartedly in the importance of togetherness, often organizing gatherings that celebrated the beautiful bond shared among those she loved. Her family will forever remember the raucous laughter that filled their lives, the shared moments that wove them closer together, and the spirit of compassion that she instilled within each of them. Kathleen leaves behind her beloved husband Dale, her sons, her step-sons, and her cherished sisters, Victoria Rider and Antonette Reeves. Kathleen Marie Helsper is preceded in death by her father, Anthony Zabrocki; mother, Irma Harrod; stepfather, Bernard Harrod; and sister, Marcella Lund. Though they may be absent from the world, the love they shared with Kathleen lingers, a testament to the enduring memory of family ties that transcend even the veil of mortality. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate her life, her love, and her legacy, all woven together like the threads of a finely crafted tapestry.
