Katherine Kay Heim

Katherine “Kathy” K. (Weifenbach) Heim, 77 of Gillette, WY passed away peacefully Wednesday March 25, 2026, at CCH.

Kathy was born January 6, 1949, to Henry & Eva Severson Weifenbach in Aberdeen, SD. She attended Columbia High School where she enjoyed playing girls basketball and was on the high school cheerleading team.

On July 18, 1966, she married Glen N. Heim in Webster, SD. Kathy worked for Control Data in Aberdeen, SD, they eventually moved to Gillette, WY where they made their home. Kathy worked for Husky’s Truck Stop as a waitress and later she went to Granny’s Kitchen and started out as a waitress and then became a hostess. She worked at numerous hotels as Head Housekeeper until she went to IML/Traveliance (BNSF Rail Complex), she worked there for 16 years until she retired in 2019.

Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music her love for Elvis was her favorite. She loved to sing and dance (she and her late brother Roger would win dancing contests).

Kathy is survived by husband Glen of 59 years, her sibling Norma (John) Taylor of Moorhead, MN.

Her children, Glenda (Mike) Brandt, Clara Heim –(Brandt), Tonia (Rob) Hoffman, Tracy (Brenda) Heim and Christy Mosley.

Grandchildren: Kayla Slocum, Dani (Kenny) Bell, Andrew (Whitney) Produit, JonnaLeigh Produit, Brittany Brandt, Katie (Torey) Rush, Tiffany (Colt) Brewer, Layne (Shy) Friesen, Jordann Brandt, Daltyn Mosley, Marlayna Mosley. Twenty-two great-grandchildren,

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Delores Furman Selzler, Marjorie LaMoureaux, Karen Day, Carol Johnson, Geraldine Bremmon, brothers, Duane Weifenbach, Gerald Weifenbach, Edward Weifenbach, Donald Weifenbach, Allan Weifenbach, Roger Weifenbach Her fraternal twin Kenneth Weifenbach and two great-granddaughters.
