Karen Lynn Williams (Sadler), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 26, 2026. Karen was born on July 15, 1944, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Rollo Williams, on November 25, 1964. In 1974, Karen and her family moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where they made their home and built a life filled with family, friends, and wonderful memories. Karen was a hardworking and dedicated woman. Over the years she worked for Halliburton, Amax Coal (Belle Ayr Mine), Mobil Coal (Caballo Rojo Mine) as an equipment operator—one of very few women doing so at the time—and later for Campbell County School District. Above all, Karen lived to support her family and those she loved. She was an incredible, loving, and kind woman who was happiest caring for others. A wonderful cook, she always made sure there was food available for family and friends. She enjoyed camping, outdoor activities, and especially participating in her children’s activities and supporting Rollo throughout his teaching and sports activities. Karen was never one to seek the limelight. She was happiest in the background, quietly supporting and encouraging the people she loved. Her dedication to her family was evident in everything she did, and her love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Karen is survived by her husband, Rollo Williams; sister, Tamera Chapman (Sadler); sons, Dusty [Aurea] Williams and Nate [Kristie]Williams; grandchildren, Brian, Colton, Morgan, Brooke, Bryce, Arik, Alexandria, and Kaiden; and seven great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
