Joseph Edward Lorenz

The heavens gained a true warrior this morning.  Joseph Edward Lorenz passed away peacefully at home Friday, March 8, 2024 at 8:41am.  By his side was his one and only, his "nitch" in life, Denise.  Joseph was born on January 20, 1952.  He spent most of his childhood in St. Paul, Minnesota.  In 1970 at 18, he joined the United States Marine Corps.  After discharge, he met his soul mate and had their first child.  They would go on to have 3 children and eventually be blessed with many grandchildren.  He was fighting the pain of terminal cancer, to meet his first great-grandson.   He was the blueprint for what it meant to be a humble leader and mentor.  The hardest worker, the best singer, the man that commanded a room and made everyone feel that they were a friend.  To all, he was "Big Joe" and to all, he left an imprint on their life.  It's rare nowadays to meet someone that by just knowing them, makes you want to be a better version of yourself.  That was Big Joe.  That was the Ol' Man.  That was Papa.  May you sing in the angel's choir, always.
