Jodi Christine Berens

Celebration of Life for Jodi Berens will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Walker Funeral Home with Chaplain Donny Edwards officiating. After her battle with cancer, Jodi Berens died on April 10, 2019 at the age of 54. Jodi Christine (Elkins) Berens was born on October 12, 1964 in Whitefish, MT to Edwin and Evelyn Elkins. She grew up in a large, loving family with two sisters and three brothers. Jodi grew up in a few different places, but most of her childhood years were spent growing up in Clearmont, WY. Jodi married Doug Berens on August 12, 2016. They made their home in Gillette, WY where she worked for the US Post Office. Her and Doug raised their dogs together, they were such a joy in her life. Jodi loved spending time in the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, and hunting. She enjoyed her time working as a camp cook for outfitters. Family always brought Jodi such happiness, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling them whenever she got the chance. She was truly a caring lady whether it be to her family, her dogs, or even her many plants. Jodi is survived by her husband, Doug, as well as her sisters, Debe “Doll” Knudsen and Susan (Ron) Naramore; her brothers, Ed “JR” Elkins and Steve (Brandi) Elkins; her father, Edwin Elkins; mother-in-law, Marilyn Berens; sister-in-law, Stephanie Berens; brother-in-law, Bill Berens; a stepson, Cody; a stepdaughter, Toni; one step grandson and five step granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
