Funeral service for Jesus Cervantes will be a t11:00 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2020 at Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Ernie Bishop of The Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service on Monday. Jesus Cervantes, age 73 passed away on October 11, 2020 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana of natural causes. Jesus Alberto Cervantes was born on October 13, 1946 to Fernando Cervantes Olguin and Consuelo (Lopez) Lopez in Juarez, Mexico. As a young man he moved to the United States and resided in Casper, Wyoming where he met Peggy Abeyta and they were married  October of 1981. Jesus worked on waterlines and sewer lines in Casper for several years before moving to Nebraska on cattle ranches. The family moved to Gillette in 2000 to own and operate Father and Sons construction company. Jesus passion was fishing, spending time on his ranch with his horses, his family, his daughters and grandchildren. In his spare time, he liked to go to the casino and hanging out with his friends at the bar.  Jesus was friendly and liked to joke with his friends and family. Jesus is survived by his wife Peggy Cervantes; his sons, Fernando Abeyta, Javier Abeyta; daughters, Julia Hernandez, Peggy Cervantes. Annabelle Cervantes; 16 grandchildren,  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Donations to assist with final wishes may be made on Jesus’ obituary page at www.walkerfuneralgillette.com, “Donate Funeral Funds tab”.
