Jana Schuler-Philbrick

Jana Schuler-Philbrick, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on May 5, 2025, at her residence in Gillette, Wyoming, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 10, 1960, in Taylor, Nebraska, to Charles and Anna Schuler, who nurtured her spirit, instilling in her a love for life and the beauty around her.

A graduate of Taylor High School, Jana's passion for service led her to work in law offices before transitioning into the food service industry, where she expertly catered large banquets. Her meticulous attention to detail and her warm demeanor made each event memorable, reflecting her profound dedication to the craft.

On February 14, 2003, Jana celebrated a momentous occasion when she married the love of her life, Rick Philbrick, in Las Vegas. Their union was a testament to their deep affection and respect for one another, creating a partnership filled with joy and mutual support.

Jana was known for her green thumb and passion for gardening, often tending to her plants with the same care and nurturing spirit she extended to those around her. She also found great enjoyment in browsing second-hand stores, discovering hidden treasures that brought her joy and sparked her creativity.

Jana cherished her family deeply, including her siblings Pat and Gene, and adored her nieces Pam and Katrina, whom she always encouraged to pursue their dreams. She found immense comfort and companionship in her pets, Taylor and Cupcake, who were always by her side, contributing to the warmth of her home.

Jana is lovingly remembered by her husband Rick, her parents Charles and Anna, her siblings Pat and Gene, and her nieces Pam and Katrina. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be laid to rest in Long Pine, Nebraska, surrounded by the beauty she admired throughout her life.
