Jun 26, 1942 — Aug 28, 2026

Gillette

Jacqueline Lhea Ary, 84, known to her family and friends as Jacquie, a longtime resident of Gillette, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was an amazing and loving wife, mother, Nonnie, aunt, cousin and friend. Jacquie’s main goal and biggest source of pride was being the best mom and wife that she could possibly be. She loved supporting her family by being involved in their activities and lives, whether it be going to all 50 states in an RV, sporting events, art events, birthdays, or all special occasions from the beginning to the very end. Jacquie enjoyed playing cards, vacations to the beach and spending time with her family and many friends. She touched many kids’ lives when she worked as a teachers’ aid at Westside Elementary School. She was also a long time Board Member of Pioneer Manor/Legacy Living & Rehabilitation. Jacquie was always up for an adventure and made everything more fun! Jacqueline Lhea Ary was born June 26, 1942 in a house in Walden, Colorado, to the late Truman Potter and Lillie (Wyatt) Potter. She was the valedictorian of her 1960 graduating class at North Park High School, Walden, Colorado. She attended a business school in Denver, Colorado, before marrying Ronnie December 20, 1960 in Fort Collins, Colorado. In the first three years of marriage, they lived in six different states, finally settling in Wyoming. They moved to Gillette in 1969, and she told Ronnie she was not moving anymore and keeping the girls in the same schools. Jacquie is survived by her daughters, Stacy Ary of Gillette Wyoming and Shawn (Kevin) Sanger of Gillette, Wyoming. She has two grandsons, Dylan and Brandon Sanger of Denver, Colorado. Jacquie is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces who she was able to visit with over the summer. Jacquie will be best remembered for many things. She gave the best hugs and made everyone feel loved. She was quick to laugh and extremely loyal to her family. So many people will remember her saying, “Honey, I love you!”. Jacquie was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Ary, her dad Truman Potter, her mother Lillie Moran, and her step-father Gerald Moran. The family would like to express our extreme gratitude to Stillwater Hospice for their kind, competent and compassionate care to our precious momma. A memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Marty Crump at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Family Life Church, 480 South Highway 50, Gillette, Wyoming 82718. A reception will follow the services at the church.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Ary Family Trust via check and mailed to Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716, or Venmo @slahobbs for a Park Bench at Jacquie’s favorite park, “The Fishing Lake” aka Dalbey Memorial Park. Blessed be her memory; and when you think of her, smile, have a little laugh and give out great, heartfelt hugs!!!
