A wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, little sis and beloved friend to many. Iris was born on June 26, 1940 in Atlantic, Iowa; she passed away September 29, 2021 at Campbell County Health, Gillette, WY. She moved from Atlantic, IA in 1949 to Hot Springs, NM. Iris graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1958. Iris’ high school years she preformed at a majorette and was involved in Girl’s State and was Fast Ball Princess during her freshman year. In 1975 Iris moved with her family to Wyoming. Iris worked at the Sand’s Hotel and Decker’s Food Center in Gillette.  She was a member of the Gillette Eagles Auxiliary FOE 2711.  She also attended floral school in Denver where she sharpened her already natural skills in floral design.  Iris made lifelong friends through her life journey. She was an avid card player, enjoyed creating scrapbooks for friends and family, was a master at putting puzzles together, she loved taking photos and enjoyed attending Sunday worship and would not pass up a good garage sale when she was out and about.  Iris loved taking drives to enjoy nature’s beauty and loved her cats.  Iris gracefully blessed so many lives with her thoughtfulness and caring for others.  She always made people feel welcome and loved.  She enjoyed a good visit  on the telephone or over a cup of coffee.  She had a wicked sense of humor that put a smile on your face.  Heaven had gained a special angel and will be missed greatly.  Only faith can fill that void knowing God has called her to a cause much greater than what can be accomplished in this world.  She is survived by her brother, Darrell Mott; children, Delbert (Kathy) Harrison, Denny (Sue) Harrison, Leslie (Kevin) Harrison; Frankie (Rob) Smith, Derek (Cynthia) Smith, Randy (Adene) Kusma, Mike (Sally) Kusma, Bobby Smith and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; grandson, Colter; and son, Debbie Smith, Dean Ray Harrison.
