George Ann Burch, 77, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother died Tuesday Feb. 13 2024 at her Rozet, WY home with her family by her side. George Ann was born March 15, 1946, in Gillette, WY, to Irvine and Nora Pickrel. George Ann loved life on the ranch and was happy to be working and helping the family. In 1964 George Ann graduated From Gillette high school and went on to take college classes at the University of Wyoming. George Ann married Leon “Max” Burch on September 18, 1965. The two worked side by side on the ranch and continued to help it grow. They were blessed with twin boys Matthew and Chad. George Ann worked on the ranch her whole life in several different ways, she ran the books, fed the hired hands, cooked for brandings, and much, much more. She really loved and took care of everyone. She was known for her sweet spirit and heart of gold. She was an avid reader of the bible and loved to attend Church at the Gillette Foursquare Church. Other hobbies included checking water or mares and colts with her husband, spending time with her family, and her cats. George Ann is survived by her husband Max Burch, her children, Matt (Anna) Burch; Chad Burch; her granddaughter Bailey (Ryan) Ellenson; one great-grandson; her brother Clinton (Rebecca) Pickrel; their three sons Ryan (Rebecca) Pickrel, Tyler (Cassie) Pickrel, Regan (Cassandra) Pickrel; three great-nephews, three great-nieces; and many other dedicated family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Irvine Pickrel; her sisters, Shirley Dell and Mary Lynn. George Ann will be remembered for her beautiful smile that lit up the room as soon as she walked in, her strong-willed personality, but most of all her heart. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m., at the Gillette Memorial Chapel Gillette, WY. Funeral Services held Monday Feb. 19, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Gillette Foursquare Church in Gillette, WY.
