Floyd Bryant

March 1, 1966 — May 15, 2025

Gillette, Wyoming

Floyd Marion Bryant II, born March 1, 1966, in Dover, Delaware, passed away on May 15, 2025, at Campbell County Health in Gillette, Wyoming. He was 59 years old.

Floyd was a devoted husband, loving father, and soon-to-be proud grandfather. A man of great heart and infectious spirit, he lived life to the fullest, never taking a single day for granted. He treasured his family above all else and found his greatest joy in spending time with them; especially camping and riding four-wheelers with his son, Floyd III. He often joked, and lovingly admitted, that he was wrapped tightly around his daughter Delaney's little finger.

Floyd was a graduate of Dover High School and married the love of his life, Lisa Hurd, on Valentine’s Day in 1987. The two shared decades of memories, laughter, and love together. He was a fan of college football, an avid hunter, and enjoyed the freedom and peace of the outdoors. His faithful dog, Gunner, was never far from his side and held a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Bryant of Gillette, WY; son Floyd Bryant III and his fiancée Leslie Newman of Gillette; daughter Delaney Bryant of Gillette; and his grandson, Floyd Bryant IV, expected in October. He is also survived by his sisters Lisa Hurd of Waynesboro, PA, and Alison Decker of Frederica, DE; several step-siblings; nephews Ryan (Brittany) Hurd of Delaware and Gary Hurd of Delaware; nieces Amanda Strunk of Pennsylvania and Megan (Jonathan) of Delaware; and his loyal dog, Gunner.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Alice Bryant; two baby sisters; and his cherished companion, Bronc.

Floyd’s legacy of love, laughter, and living boldly will continue through those who knew and loved him. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Walker Funeral Home immediately followed by Memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m., also at Walker Funeral Home with Donnie Colby officiating.
