Craig Strain, 57, passed away on September 4, 2026, from complications of congestive heart failure following a heart attack on May 18, 2026.
Raised in Rangely, Colorado, Craig built a life filled with hard work, humor, and a personality that was entirely his own. He spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, traveling countless miles and seeing the country from behind the wheel. He also enjoyed working in retail management, where his personality and quick wit were sure to leave an impression on those around him.
Anyone who knew Craig knew he had a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor. He had a way of delivering a perfectly timed remark with a straight face, often leaving everyone around him laughing. His humor was one of the things that made him unforgettable, and those who loved him will undoubtedly find themselves smiling at the memories of things he said.
He was also a devoted Colorado Rockies and New York Giants fan, cheering on his teams through the wins, the losses, and everything in between. His love for baseball especially was just one of the little things that made him who he was.
While his time here was cut short, the memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his humor, his unmistakable personality, and the laughter he brought into the lives of others.
Some people leave behind grand speeches and profound words. Others leave behind a lifetime of one-liners, laughter, and stories that will be told for years to come. Craig was one of those people. And the world will be a little less funny without him in it.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Cudo; stepfather, Chuck Cudo; sister, Amy Elder; and nephew, Garth Jacobs.
He is survived by his sons, Jacob and Jordan; sisters, Peri Brenner (Glen) and Renee Collins (Tim); brother, Scott Strain (Brandi); stepbrother Samm Cudo (Gayla); stepbrother Todd Cudo; and many nieces and nephews who absolutely adored him.
Rest easy. You will be loved, missed, and remembered always.
With love,
Peri
