Connie Jean Wright

Connie Jean Wright, 79, of Gillette passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Campbell County Health.  Connie Jean Wright was born on November 26, 1946 to Hershel and Vera (Felkins) Long in Ada, OK. She attended local schools and moved to Oregon for work.  Connie later moved to Campbell County where she was employed with a telephone company as a phone splicer. She went to work for Exxon Mobil from 1980 to 1994. Connie obtained employment as a mechanic for Peabody/Powder River Coal -Carter Mine and later at the Caballo Mine as a Maintenance Tech from 1994 to 2001. Connie retired from Kennedy Oil as a methane pumper. Connie had a great love for horses and helping people.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita Preisner and son in law, James Preisner and their children, Shyanne Preisner, Tyler Greenhaw, Martina Greenhaw and Jacquelyn Brassfield, her sister, Dana Dill and family, her brother, Phil Long and family. Connie was preceded in death by her son, Jack Dean Wright. Walker Crematory entrusted with the cremation.
