Casper

Carol May Clarke, 82, went home to Jesus June 11, 2026 at Shepherd of The Valley in Casper, Wyoming. Carol was born in Casper, Wyoming to Carl David and Beulaha Alice (McIntyre) Dye of the Manderson/Basin area on January 26, 1944.

Carol married Joe Nelson Clarke on May 20, 1961, in Sheridan, Wyoming. They had their first son Donald in June of the next year. She joined Joe in Okinawa Japan shortly after Donald was born. After moving back to the states, she went back to school and received her high school diploma in 1965 at Manderson Hyattville High School. A couple years later she had daughter Dianna and sons David and Gary all within a 2-and-a-half-year period. She was a homemaker until the family moved to Wright in 1979.

Carol started working outside of the home after moving to Wright. She did some flagging for road construction. She worked at Deckers grocery store. She worked at Big D gas station and for the Wright Newspaper.

Carol was a member of The Wright Baptist Church. She played the piano for several years and joyously helped wherever she could, taking pride to make sure all prayer requests were sent out as needed to the church family and daily bible verses were posted on Facebook. Carol was warm and comforting. She had a lot of friends in the Wright community. She and Joe opened their home to several different people throughout their 42 years in Wright. Carol also enjoyed playing video games. Often when she disappeared you could find her in the computer room playing her newest video game.

Carol is survived by son, Donald (Lisa) Clarke of Boise, Idaho, daughter, Dianna Flinner of Gillette, Wyoming, son, David (Angie) Clarke of Nacogdoches, Texas, son, Garald Clarke of Gillette, Wyoming, brother, Jerry (Barbara) Dye of Los Lunas, New Mexico, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Clarke, sisters Virginia Listen and Barbara Watson, and brother Carl John Dye.

The family would like to thank Trish, Bryn, Peyton and Mackenzie, the staff at Enhabit Home Health and Hospice in Casper, for coming in to care for and love on Carol the last couple months of her life. Thank You!

A celebration of life will be held at Wright Baptist Church for Carol and her husband Joe at a later date.
