It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos “Prince” McFarlane, who departed this life on May 15, 2026, at the age of 25. Carlos was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend whose presence brought love and meaning to those around him. He will be remembered for his spirit, the memories he created with family and friends, and the love he shared throughout his life. He leaves behind his loving mother, Wendy Wauchope; his father, Carlos McFarlane; his grandmother, Vivian Johnson; sister, Jahzara and Jeniel McFarlane; aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of friends who will forever cherish his memory. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Carlos will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at Journey Church, located at 3601 W Southern Drive, Gillette WY 82718 at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026 with Pastor Grant Clark officiating. Viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services starting at 12:00 p.m. also at Journey Church. The family asks for prayers, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time. Gone too soon, but never forgotten. Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel 210 West 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716. With deepest love and gratitude, we recognize Shelly, a devoted sister and aunt who stood faithfully beside Wendy and Prince from the beginning, until the very end. Your selfless love, strength, support and countless sacrifices will never be forgotten and to his beloved grandmother Vivian for the love, care and support she gave so selflessly through out his illness, for being there when he needed her most, her love was always present, and the memories created will forever be cherished. May god richly bless each and every one of you.

We would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Gillette Hospital and UCHealth, whose care, efforts and support during Prince’s illness were sincerely appreciated. We ae also deeply grateful to the funeral directors and staff for their guidance, professionalism and compassion during this time of loss. To our family, friends and loved ones near and far, thank you for standing with us as we honor and celebrate Prince’s life.
