Ben Philip Troutman

April 6, 1997 — April 6, 2026

Gainesville, Georgia

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ben “Bee” Troutman, a beloved family member and friend to many. In true Bee fashion, he managed to do things his own way to the very end—holding on just long enough to give Jesus His Easter Sunday before making his exit on his own special day. Ben passed away on April 6, 2026, on his 29th birthday, peacefully in his parents arms.

Born on April 6, 1997, Ben was the cherished son of Thomas Norwood and Mary Anne Troutman. He was a treasured brother to Kelsey Lawroski (John), Max Troutman (Melissa), and Taylor Kimball (Owen). Soon to be uncle to baby Lawroski and baby Anderson James Kimball. Known as “Bee” to many, he was a remarkable individual whose infectious smile left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Ben’s life was filled with the love from family and friends and of his joy being around them. His love for music was unmistakable—ranging from Beyoncé favorites to what may have been his most consistent playlist; Country and K Love along with the soothing (and oddly captivating) sounds of The Weather Channel. He held a childlike fondness for Barney, The Lion King, and watching the Golf Channel. Ben delighted in simple pleasures, whether it was listening to the radio, watching his favorite shows, and spending time with family. Ben loved a good party, sharing an ice-cold sip of beer (wink wink) with a playful smile. He also enjoyed hearing conversations, especially if they were about him.

Traveling with his parents brought Ben immense happiness, and he was truly a seasoned traveler. Over the years, he journeyed throughout Florida, up the East Coast to Maine, across the Great Lakes states, and westward through Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. He also traveled through the Rocky Mountain states, the prairie and plains states, the Southwest to Texas, and the Deep South—covering nearly every region of the country. Among his favorite destinations were St. Simons Island, Bozeman, and Ocala, where he loved visiting his siblings and creating lasting memories.

Through his life, his sweet and joyful spirit, warrior perseverance and strength touched the lives of those that met him. He was known for blowing kisses to anyone who came in contact with him - especially at Troutman Thanksgivings. Anyone who witnessed those kisses, knew how truly special it was.

Ben would not be where he is today without his teachers, parapros, doctors and nurses who have been there since the beginning. We cannot thank you enough! Ben took great pride in graduating from Margaret Harris High School, traveling extensively with his family, and surpassing medical expectations by an extraordinary twenty plus years. His greatest legacy, however, will always be his selfless love—a gift so deep and genuine that it touched everyone he encountered.

A big heartfelt thank you to the doctors, surgeons, Anisa and all the ICU nurses at Campbell County Hospital in Gillette, WY for the wonderful and extraordinary care that all gave to Ben.

In remembrance of Ben, may we honor his life by striving to embody the qualities he demonstrated so effortlessly each day. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit and legacy will forever continue to inspire and guide us.

As Ben would say “Bee Kind and Bee Easy”.
