He passed away August 31, 2018 in Rapid City, SD from complications from a stroke. He was raised in Kemmerer, WY, and graduated from Sheridan, WY. Al approached everything he did with purpose, whether it was working, driving, or partying. Baja Bonar was his nickname. He worked many years in the oil field, as a mill right, and finally as a welder specializing in fabrication. Some would say he was a jack of all trades. The place on Earth closest to Al's heart was; The Fontenelle Basin out of Kemmerer. He would have made a good mountain man and was well known to quit jobs to go elk hunting. He dearly loved hunting, fishing, and campfires. He always had a story to tell or a yarn to spin. Al was deeply appreciative of veterans and never failed to thank them for their service.  He has great respect the flag, Old Glory.  He also had an unfailing love for animals, especially blue heelers.  He was proceeded by many and survived by one, Slag. Al is survived by his loving mother, Sybil Hannah; sons, Allan Bonar (Jennifer) and BJ Teuscher; sister, Viola Gardner (Don); and his M.O.W., Jennifer Smathers. He is also survived by several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous step-brothers; step-sisters; step-children; many nieces; nephews; and all his North Dakota family. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Bonar; grandparents, sisters, Debra; and Edna; nephew, Jerrid; and step-father, Lee Hannah. Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Walker Funeral Home 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences may also be expressed at www.walkerfuneralgillette.com
