Memorial services for Patricia Miller of Gillette will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Andy Carsrud of the Family Life Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 from 3-7 at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming.Mrs. Miller, age 53, died on Sunday, January 1, 2006 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital from complications of emphysema.Patricia Darlene, known to her family and friends as Pat, was born on June 3, 1952 in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Sid and Eldina (Slovarp) Hill. As a child Pat moved with her family from Washburn, North Dakota to Buffalo, Wyoming. She was educated in Buffalo. Upon her schooling she married Mike Miller on June 7, 1973 in Gillette, Wyoming. The couple made their home and started their family in Buffalo. Pat worked as a waitress for many years at the Husky Caf. In 1978 the family moved to Gillette. Pat worked for the school district as a crossing guard for a few years, but returned to the occupation she loved, waitressing. Pat enjoyed the people she served at the Fireside Caf. In 1997 Pat left the restaurant to do more of the things she enjoyed at home.She enjoyed gardening, mostly planting flower beds and spending time at the family cabin in the Big Horns. Pat was a great fisherman and would sit out in all sorts of weather conditions just to catch a fish. Pat loved animals; she would leave food out for all the neighborhood animals. Her dog Cocoa was very special to her and a great companion. First and foremost though she was a mother and was selfless when it came to her kids. She will be remembered by her husband as being his everything, sharing over thirty years of marriage and wishing for thirty more; 2 sons: Mike Jr. will miss her motherly advice and presence when needing help and Shawn, appreciating her patience and forgiveness always loving regardless of the situation, all of Gillette; her daughter, Toni remembers Pat?s constant steady support and will miss not only her mom, but her best friend, sharing their secrets, fears and dreams, of Casper, Wyoming; 3 brothers: Ronald Hill of Worland, Wyoming, Bob Hill of Gillette and Dennis Adams of Washburn, North Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.
