Danny Westerman

A memorial service for Danny Buren Westerman, age 59, of Gillette will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orie Lester of the Cheyenne Church of the Nazarene officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #42.Danny died in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at his home in Gillette of Mesothelioma surrounded by his family.Danny was born on December 5, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Buren H. and Joyce R. (Dufloth) Westerman. Danny attended school in Laramie where he met his future wife, Wanda I. Lester. They were married on Christmas Eve 1966. Together they had 2 children. Danny entered the U.S. Army in 1967, where he served as a medical corpsman until 1970. He worked for Bresnan as a cable technician in Laramie and later in Gillette. While there he met a special friend, Wanda Estenson who shared his life until his death.Danny is survived by his significant other, Wanda Estenson, 1 son, Wes and wife Beth Westerman of Phoenix, Arizona, 1 daughter, Justina and husband Ed Reilly of Surprise, Arizona, 3 grandsons; Dreu Miller, Wyatt Westerman and Robbie Reilly, 1 granddaughter, Madison Westerman and 1 sister, Darline and husband Ted Serdiuk of Laramie, Wyoming, 2 nephews, Jeff Serduik and Derek Brady and 1 niece Wendy Derosier.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, Campbell County Memorial Hospital Hospice or to Home Medical Resources.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Danny?s name in care of Stevenson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th St., Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com
