Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Mowery, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Spearfish, South Dakota, interment will follow in the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Spearfish, South Dakota. Margaret Mowery, age 85, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of natural causes.Margaret Cecilia Mowery, known to her family and friends as Marge, was born October 31, 1920 in Lead, South Dakota, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Borg) Nevin. She attended St. Patrick?s grade school in Lead, South Dakota and graduated from Lead High School in 1939. After moving to Denver, Colorado and working for the Government during World War II, she returned to Lead in the late forties. On October 5, 1950 she was united in marriage to Truman Mowery in Lead, South Dakota. They made their home on Truman?s ranch north of Aladdin, Wyoming until 1989 when due to ill health they moved to Spearfish, South Dakota. In October of 2003 Mrs. Mowery moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be near her daughter and reside in Pioneer Manor Nursing Home. Margaret enjoyed cross stitching, word puzzles, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their activities, never missing a birthday or anything that involved them. Along with her children, her grandkids were the love of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church of Spearfish, South Dakota.Margaret will be missed by her daughter, Mary Kay (Dennis) Lundvall of Gillette, Wyoming, daughter-in-law, Tracey Mowery of New Underwood, South Dakota, 3 granddaughters: Mandi and Misti Mowery and Shonna K. Lundvall; 2 grandsons: Shilo and Shay Lundvall; sister-in-law, Colleen Nevin of Lead, South Dakota, several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a multitude of friends.Mrs. Mowrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, 1 son, Steven Mowrey, 1 infant granddaughter, Kelli Jo Mowrey and 6 sisters and 1 brother.Memorials may be made to the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
