Funeral services for Connie Bell will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Gillette, with Pastor Chad Brucklacher officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the church. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.Connie, age 59, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Monday, May 15, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.Connie Gay was born on April 16, 1947 in Casper, Wyoming the daughter of Elmer and Harriet (McGhee) Taylor. She was raised and educated in Casper. In 1970 Connie married Pat Bell in Casper. The couple moved to Gillette in 1975 where she worked as a cashier at Boyd?s supermarket and then IGA until the early 1980?s. The family moved back to Casper where Connie worked as a bookkeeper for Anderson Signs. Returning to Gillette in the mid 1980?s Connie began a fifteen year career with K-Mart. Most recently Connie began working for Albertson?s and was employed there at the time of her death. Connie loved working with the public, making numerous friends. Connie was an avid supporter of ?Shop with a Cop?. She had enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, camping, the Animal Planet Channel and ?Elmo? the doll. Connie loved flower gardening, however she hated to mow the lawn. Connie is survived by her son, Jesse Bell and his wife Janey of Gillette; daughter, Julie Ruda of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, Richard Taylor of Casper; 4 grandchildren: Jennifer, Tommi, Brittany and Jessica; best friend, Mary Kindt of Gillette; numerous nieces, nephews, 1 aunt and several cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, parents and grandparents.Memorials in Connie?s name are suggested to the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation to benefit Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
