A graveside rite of committal of ashes for Dotchie (McCaskey) Bruski will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006 at St. John?s Catholic Cemetery in Beach, North Dakota.Dotchie Bruski, age 83, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully at her daughter, Jean Lechler?s home in Gillette surrounded by her children on June 11, 2006 of complications of Leukemia. She was born on May 13, 1923 in Wibaux, Montana to Clarence and Minnie (Hall) McClain the youngest of six children. Dotchie attended country schools, graduating from Wibaux County High School in 1941. After graduating she worked at the AAA office in Wibaux. In 1946 she married Alex J. McCaskey in Wibaux. Together they had three children. They farmed north of Beach, North Dakota until 1981 when Alex died. In 1988 she married Andrew Bruski of Colorado Springs, Colorado where they have resided since. Dotchie loved dancing, gardening, flowers, sewing and cooking for a houseful of people. She had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor right up to the very end. Dotchie is survived by her children: Jean Lechler of Gillette, Wyoming, Alex ?Ike? (Cheryl) McCaskey of Beach, North Dakota and Jim McCaskey of Whitewood, South Dakota, six grandchildren: Michaell (Cheryl), Bryan (Michelle), Cory, Chad (Sarah), Eli and Connor, four great-grandchildren: Zachary, Alexis, Alyssa and Alyson, four step-daughters: Karen (John) Armstrong, Wendy (Tim) Morgan, Cami (Bruce) Roberts and Marcy (Murray) Parks, 10 step grandchildren and 1 step great-granddaughter, two sisters: Mildred Pedersen and Nita Zabel and one brother; Clarence McClain all of Montana and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands: Alex McCaskey and Andrew Bruski, a great granddaughter, Angel Lechler, son-in-law, Tony Lechler and two sisters: Clarice Clarke and Gwen Parker. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up in Dotchie?s name to the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation to benefit Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
