Mass of Christian burial for James ?Jim? S. Bridges of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2006 at St. Matthews Catholic Church with Father Philip Vaske officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2006 and a Rosary will be at 6:00 pm at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.Jim passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at his home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.He was born on November 12, 1937 in Sheridan, Wyoming the son of Charles and Bea (Keck) Bridges. Jim attended Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming. He met and married Kathy F. Daniel in Gillette on September 16, 1961. Jim was an active member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was employed in the early 1970?s with Black Hills Power & Light. Jim worked for a time for Amax Coal. He was a carpenter by trade and owned his own business, building and remodeling numerous homes in the Gillette area. Jim?s meticulous carpentry skills and love for building and fixing things was his true talent. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. In the later years his true love was to spend time with his family camping and fishing with his beloved grandchildren. Jim enjoyed watching a good movie and football games, especially if it was the Green Bay Packers. He was always there for anyone who needed his help. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years; son, Dan (Jenni) Bridges of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Deb (Jeff) Smith of Sundance, Wyoming; brother, Richard (Linda) Bridges of Thermopolis, Wyoming; sisters: Betty Richardson of Gillette, Wyoming, Connie (Tommie) Butler of Gillette, Wyoming and Della Wasserburger of Crawford, Nebraska and 10 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant brothers, and infant sister and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Campbell County Healthcare foundation to benefit Campbell County Memorial Hospice and the new John Paul II Catholic School.
