Memorial service for Betty Poehlmann will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Sonja Brucklacher of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mrs. Poehlmann died on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the Crook County Hospital and Long Term Care Facility in Sundance, Wyoming of natural causes. She was born on July 19, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to Orville and Dora (White) Flora. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she attended North Division High School. She met and married George Poehlmann of Poehlmann Electric on October 29, 1943 in Milwaukee. Betty worked as a secretary at various places of business, including 20 years at Dalum?s Utility Equipment Company. She also enjoyed volunteer work with the Red Cross during WWII and the hospital auxiliary, pink ladies at Mercy Hospital in Mt. Shasta, California. Betty was also a member of the Order of the Eastern star. She and her husband George raised a family of 3 children in Brookfield, Wisconsin.Betty is survived by her children: Dennis (Kathy) Poehlmann of Mt. Shasta, California; Karen (Mike) Morgan of Gillette, Wyoming and Gregg (Pam) Poehlmann of Reno, Nevada; 6 grandchildren and brother in law Donald Benz of Waukesha, Wisconsin.She was preceded in death by her husband George and sister Jeanette Benz.Condolences may be sent in Betty?s name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com.
