Mass of the Christian Burial for Anne Stewart will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Moorcroft, WY, with Father Tim Martinson of St. Matthew's Catholic Church as celebrant. Interment will follow at Moorcroft Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Patrick's Church, Moorcroft, WY, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:15.
Anne L. Stewart, age 71, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a short but hard fought battle with cancer.
Anne was born April 26, 1941 in Kimball, SD, the daughter of Phillip and Florence (Grace) Herrlein. She graduated from high school in Kimball, SD. Following graduation Anne continued on to earn her degree in Cosmetology. She lived in Murdo and Chamberlain, SD before moving to Moorcroft, Wy. Anne married Chap Stewart in December, 1962. Anne enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, and feeding her birds. She especially enjoyed watching her sons' athletic careers, particularly basketball. Anne was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and was also involved with the Texas Trail Museum.
Anne is survived by her sons, William "Bill" (Kahla) Stewart of Pine Haven, WY; Phillip (fiancé Tedi) Stewart of Gillette, WY; and Ronnie Stewart of Gillette, WY; daughters, Suzanne (Craig) Wollman of Gillette, WY; Paula (Dean) Denny of Waterford, WI; Alison Stewart of Missoula, MT, and sister, Mary (Larry) Martin of Robards, KY, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chap Stewart, her parents, sister, Phyllis Noecker and brothers Robert, John and Don Herrlein.
